nearing the end....

Of the first trimester, I mean!
You have now been dubbed "Pat" until we know if you are a girl or a boy. We've decided on names: William "Liam" Edgar Marriott if you're a boy and Elizabeth Anne Marriott if you are a girl. The list of nick names for Elizabeth are too long to list...I'm partial to Izzy right now. We'll see. Autsin calls you "Mop." As soon as we figure out where that came from I'll be the first to let you know.
We went and got pictures last week! We had our first sonogram to be sure you were "plural" and it's just my one sweet baby. (whew!) Your official due date is Feb 12th. I'm personally hoping for January. :) I'll try to post the pic on here.
I'm officially too fat for my old pants...they are just too uncomfortable. I'd rather hang out in sweats all day....and sleep. You're only about 1 1/2 inches long and you are killin' me already! I'm sooooo poooped!
Kailey continues to be thrilled and tells the whole world about your arrival....she is mad that we won't tell her our name choices but is thrilled to be the one to pick out your home-coming outfit. Austin gets to pick your first lovey. :) Your big brother and sister are thrilled to get you!
Off to a nap.....

Could you be two!?

I should have written on Monday but your daddy has been working on the computer and I just got it back today!

We had our first doctor appointment on Monday. We met Dr. McCue and he was a kind and funny docotr. He sat and chatted with us for a while so we could get our questions answered and told us that he'd like us to have a sonogram next week becuase he wants to be sure that you are the right size - that we are expecting you at the right time. And to be sure that you are only YOU and not YOU TWO! Eeek! Your daddy and I have been trying to wrap our minds around having twins and I think we decided that while it would be tough, it would be really cool. When I told Nana and PawPaw about it your PawPaw said, "Nice! One for Nana and one for PawPaw!" So I think they'd be okay with it too. I continue to say I just want to be sure you're safe and healthy and then I'm content....All the other stuff is just a bonus.

I'm feeling a little better - not so sick all day long as long as I eat just enough. Last night Daddy made me a wonderful steak dinner with corn on the cob and salad -- yum. And then I spent the entire rest of the night with terrible heartburn. Ugh. Not doing that again! What a shame....my favorite dinner. (sigh.)

My friend Tara is stopping by for lunch today. I've known her since before Austin was born and I've been able to visit her in NC for all the births of her kids- so I'm thrilled that in Feb/March she'll be able to come up and spend a few days with me to help you with YOU! :) Good friends are hard to come by!

Tuesday is the sonogram......more then....
